DPS Demonstration Sites for K-12 Curriculum
Denver Public Schools has joined a growing list of leading districts across the country working with Common Sense Media, including New York City Department of Education, Maine Department of Education, Los Angeles Unified School District, Omaha Public Schools, Chicago Public Schools, and several district in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Common Sense is partnering with a select number of schools in each of these districts to pilot and evaluate the K-12 curriculum. These schools, referred to as demonstration sites, receive regular hands-on support and consultation in exchange for implementing a set number of lessons, administering student assessments, and providing teacher feedback. Teachers at these schools also have the opportunity to be recognized nationally as innovators in digital citizenship.
