ETLS Professional Development
PDU's
Professional development units (PDU's) are one of the primary salary-building elements of ProComp. They are designed to motivate teachers and student services professionals (SSPs) to increase their knowledge and skills on topics that directly relate to their classroom instruction or their discipline.
ETLS has 3 pre-approved PDU's available:
- Incorporating ILT into DPS Curriculum Initiatives
- Developing a Successful School Library Program in a DPS Library Media Center
- The Art of Library Selection & Review
Please contact
Dave Sanger, Director of Library Services, if you are interested in earning credit towards these PDU's. Click
here for more information about PDU's in Denver Public Schools.
Inservice Education Credits
DPS employees not enrolled in ProComp may use Inservice Credits instead of PDU's to recieve salary increments. More detailed DPS Inservice information, including a list of required documents and fees, can be found
here.
ETLS Course Certificates
Attendees of ETLS courses will also receive Certificates of Completion, which can be used for Colorado Department of Education (CDE) license renewal. DPS Librarians can access their certificates from their Librarian Dashboard, while Technology Teachers recieve their certificates via email.
Please contact the helpdesk if you have any quuestions about professional development opportunities at ETLS.
