Searching and Requesting Video Library Materials Using LION
You will need a computer with Internet access, and a list of subjects, titles or keywords for which you want to search.
Direct your internet browser to the Video Library homepage in LION at
http://lion.dpsk12.org/search~S114/
Choose to search for DVDs or VHS cassettes.
In the search box, type in your keywords, author, title, etc.
A list of all items pertaining to your search will display. Click "Add to cart" for the items you would like to request from the VFL.
To view the cart, click the "My Cart" link in the top-right section of your browser window.
Make sure that all the videos you want to request are checked, and then click the button that says "Save to list".
You will be prompted to log in. Enter your last name and staff/student ID number, and then click the "LOGIN" button.
Choose to add the items to an existing list, or save them to a new list. (This allows you to work on a request to the VFL for as long as you need, on different computers at different times.)
You can review the contents of your list within
My LION
:
When your list is complete, email (
vfl@dpsk12.org
) or phone (720.423.8119) the Video Library and tell them your
FULL NAME
, your
SCHOOL
, and the
NAME OF THE LIST
you would like to order.
Standard circulation for video materials is two weeks and may be extended for an additional week providing there are no previous bookings on that item. Please contact us BEFORE the item is due in order to extend it.
Your requested materials should reach you within two to three days. They will come in a green canvas bag labeled "DPS Video Library". If the bag is not picked up before the driver arrives for his next delivery, it will be returned to ETLS. Please make sure you check in the office frequently to see if your materials have arrived.
